Who we are
The Orange Zest™ & Blood Orange™ are diagnostic tools developed by Half Time Orange Ltd to help organisations assess their customer experience maturity. We support businesses globally, using QuestionPro as our secure data collection platform.
Purpose of Data Collection
We collect your responses to:
- Generate a tailored Orange Zest™ or Blood Orange™ report
- Provide immediate insights and practical next steps
- Contribute to anonymised benchmarking and ongoing improvement of the tool
Participation is entirely voluntary.
What Data We Collect
Depending on what you choose to share, we may collect:
- Your name, role, and email address (optional)
- Organisation details (e.g. size, industry)
- Your answers to CX maturity questions
You can complete the diagnostic without entering any personal identifiers.
How Your Data is Used
Your information is used solely to:
- Generate and deliver your personalised report
- Inform anonymous benchmarking and insights
- Track usage and improve the product
We never sell your data, use it for marketing, or share it with unrelated thirdparties.
Use of AI
We use OpenAI’s GPT technology to generate summary insights based on survey responses.
To protect your privacy:
- No names, email addresses, or organisation identifiers are ever sent to AI
- Only anonymised answer content is processed
- AI is used to generate insight summaries, not to create or assemble reports
All reporting is fully automated within secure Google Workspace systems. No AI is involved in generating, formatting, or emailing reports.
Data Storage & Security
Survey responses are collected through QuestionPro, which stores data on secure servers located in the United States, using Microsoft Azure infrastructure. This storage complies with leading international data security standards, including ISO 27001.
Responses are then securely routed to a private, access-controlled Google Sheets environment for report generation. This sheet:
- Is only accessible to authorised team members
- Is protected by two-factor authentication and strict sharing permissions
- Is used solely for automation and delivery of your report
We apply all reasonable safeguards to protect your data from misuse, unauthorised access, or accidental loss.
Data Retention
We retain:
- De-identified data for up to 24 months to support benchmarking and analysis
- Identifiable data (such as name or email) only for as long as needed to deliver your report or respond to follow-up, after which it is deleted or de-identified
You may request deletion at any time (see below).
Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and international privacy principles, you have the right to:
- Access or correct your identifiable data (if provided)
- Request deletion of your information
- Withdraw consent for any future contact

Cross-Border Disclosure
As QuestionPro uses US-based data centres, some identifiable data may be stored outside your home country. These data centres meet international privacy and security standards. No data is shared across borders without a clear business purpose and your consent.
Third Party Access
We work with:
- QuestionPro (data collection and storage)
- Google Workspace (report generation and delivery)
No other parties access your data. We do not sell, rent, or disclose yourinformation beyond these secure systems.
